Evaluation of Damages in International Commercial Arbitration

Chief Bayo Ojo, SAN, President of the AfAA will interview AfAA Member, Andrew Maclay, an expert witness in damages and accountancy issues in international commercial and investment arbitration. There will be a 30 minute session for questions and answers at the end of the interview.

The interview will cover:
a) The role of quantum and accounting expert witnesses in International arbitration.
b) The basic principles used in quantifying damages in International Arbitration.
c) How to calculate quantum/valuation in International Arbitration using the Discounted Cash Flow approach (DCF), Comparables Approach and Sunk Costs approach
d) Loss of profits calculations and how to use them.
