The AfAA aims to increase diversity in the appointment of arbitrators in international arbitration and dispel the perceived inadequacy or lack of a pool of African international arbitrators by publishing a Directory of African International Arbitrators (DAIA). The purpose of the DAIA is to make African arbitrators more visible and accessible to the international arbitration community and users of international arbitration.
The DAIA is a platform for African arbitrators with international experience and/or qualifications. The DAIA is open to all international arbitrators of African nationality.
