Mrs Adedoyin Rhodes-Vivour SAN Carb appointed to the Panel of Arbitrators of ICSID

Mrs. Adedoyin Rhodes-Vivour, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chartered Arbitrator and CEDR [UK ] Accredited Mediator has been appointed to the Panel of Arbitrators of  the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes [ICSID] pursuant to her designation by Nigeria  The appointment is scheduled to run for a statutory period of six years extending through January 27th , 2029. Adedoyin has significant experience in dispute settlement and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She is regularly ranked by publications including Who’s Who Legal and Expert Guides as a pre-eminent arbitrator. She has been described as highly recommended by clients and peers for her skill and versatile thinking and”one who garners strong praise from market sources for her first class practice.” She is adjudged as “providing clients with a wealth of expertise as both arbitrator and counsel across the financial services and energy sectors.” Adedoyin is a member of the World Bank Group Sanctions Board, a member of the International Chamber of Commerce [Paris] International Court of Arbitration, Member International Law Association, Past Member of the Court, Permanent Court of Arbitration [PCA] The Hague, Netherlands and Past Chairperson, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators [UK] Nigeria Branch. She has received various recognitions including listing by Africa Arbitration Academy as one of the Africa’s 30 Arbitration Powerlist of the year’s 2020, 2021 and 2022, distinguished Arbitrator of the Year 2020 by Arbitrator Intelligence and recognized in various publications including Who’s Who Legal, Expert Guides Women in Business Law. She is listed in Women Pioneers in Dispute Resolution, a publication of the Deutsche GeselleschaftFṻr International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH compiled with the assistance of Arbitral Women. She is the author of the book titled “Commercial Arbitration Law and Practice in Nigeria through the cases.” published by LexisNexis South Africa. Adedoyin Rhodes-Vivour SAN, C.Arb considers it an honour to be designated to the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators and looks forward to being of service in the peaceful, cost-effective and expeditious settlement of Investments Disputes in the pursuit for International cooperation as a means to economic development.
