Ms Lise Bosman |
Ms Lise Bosman is a South African-trained arbitration specialist based at the Peace Palace in The Hague. She is Executive Director of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA); Senior Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA); and Adjunct Professor at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Lise has over twenty years of experience in the field of international dispute resolution, through her work in international law firms, international organisations and in-house. She is a Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa); member of the Court of LACIAC; General Editor of the ICCA International Handbook on Commercial Arbitration (a six-volume loose-leaf collection of arbitration-related legislation and commentary on over 75 jurisdictions; Kluwer Law International, published since 1984); and the General Editor and contributing author of Arbitration in Africa: a Practitioner's Guide (Kluwer Law International, 2013, 2nd Edition forthcoming 2019). Her areas of specialization are: international commercial arbitration law and practice; the practice and development of international arbitration in Africa; international investment law; investor-State arbitration; and State-State arbitration. |
