ICC YAF - Arbitration in Senegal & OHADA Region

The conference is expected to shed light on the ICC Arbitration Rules. The ICC Rules governing the drafting of the arbitration agreement, the conducting of arbitral proceedings and the issue of awards will be presented and discussed by the panellists. Speakers will include AfricArb co-founding members Diamana Diawara and Paul Jean Le Cannu, as well as various lawyers and representatives of the ICC and local institutions.

The trend related to the multiplication of arbitrations centres in Africa and the role of such centres to promote arbitration practice on the continent in terms of specialization, harmonization and attractiveness are some of the topics that will also be tackled from the perspective of different players including practitioners (arbitrators and counsels), in-house counsel and academics.
