Know Your Gafta Contracts Seminar

This one-day seminar is an ideal opportunity for trade professionals who want a practical overview of Gafta contracts and how to apply legal and commercial principles to everyday scenarios in the trade. It will be run by Gafta's General Counsel, Jonathan Waters, Jonathan is a barrister with over 30 years PQE, having advised clients, ranging from those listed on the London Stock Exchange to small-medium enterprises, and specialises in international arbitration, dispute resolution and commercial contracts.

The seminar will include an overview of English contract law (on which all Gafta contracts are based), an analysis of the key Gafta contract terms as well as an in-depth consideration of a number of important topics such as counterparty risk, default and damages, commercial considerations, dispute resolution (including Gafta arbitration) and important 'do's and don't's' when contracting.
