If you don't practise international arbitration/international ADR, how do you promote it in Africa?
As a young, active lawyer based in Abu Dhabi working for a governmental entity and engaged in dealing with several disputes, has a lot of connections in the legal field, interested in ADR and arbitration procedures, there are several ways I can promote these practices in Africa, by the following: 1. Education and Training: I can contribute by organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs in Africa the involves lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals about the benefits and intricacies of ADR and arbitration. And by sharing my knowledge and experience. 2. Advocacy and Awareness: I can engage in advocacy efforts to raise awareness about the advantages of ADR and arbitration in Africa. This can involve writing articles, preparing presentations, and participating in conferences or panel discussions to highlight the potential of these practices in resolving disputes effectively and efficiently. 3. Collaboration and Networking: I can surely collaborate with local lawyers and organizations in Africa who are already involved in international arbitration or ADR. By working together, I can contribute to the growth and development of these practices in the region by any means possible. 4. Research and Publications: Conducting research on the specific challenges and opportunities of ADR and arbitration in Africa is my game, which can help generate valuable insights. Publishing my findings and presenting them at conferences can contribute to the academic and practical understanding of these practices in the African context and the UAE.
