If non-African, how do you promote Africans in international arbitration/ADR?
I am a co-founder and have been a member of the executive committee of the annual East Africa International Arbitration Conference for the past 9 years . I have been a visiting lecturer in international arbitration and international investment law for post-graduate students at the Universities of Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar and Mekelle, Ethiopia. I am a member of the panel of arbitrators of the CRCICA, KIAC and NCIA and promote the appointments of African arbitrators. I have sat as arbitrator in several Asia-Africa arbitrations, including Africa-seated.
