The International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation Abuja (ICAMA) located in the heart of Abuja the Capital of Nigeria, is one of the worlds emerging international centres for dispute resolution.
The centre, which was officially launched in May 2012 offers assistance, support services and excellent facilities for training meeting and hearings of ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations.
The centre provides for appointment of seasoned and experienced arbitrators from the centres list of arbitrators/mediators where the need arises and in a situation where parties are unable to nominate arbitrators by themselves. ICAMA can administer institutional arbitrations under any rules as expressed by the agreement of the parties. In the absence of this, the centre will adopt the UNCITRAL rules as amended.
