Agada John Elachi elected sixth President of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and

Conciliators

We are pleased to inform you that on the 1st of December, 2020, during the 2020 Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), following the expiration of the tenure of the previous executive, AfAA member, Agada John Elachi Ph.D., FICMC, FCIArb (UK) was elected the sixth (6th) President of the Institute.

The ICMC is the umbrella body of dispute resolution practitioners in Nigeria that regulates and sets Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators standards for the practice of Mediation and Conciliation. Established in 1999,  the ICMC trains, certifies and inducts candidates as professional mediators and conciliators. ICMC has been building critical mass of ADR practitioners, cutting across all major disciplines and fields of human endeavour.

Membership of the ICMS remains open to all professionals including, but not limited to, lawyers, jurists, bankers, the police, the armed forces and other paramilitary agencies, government regulatory agencies, civil and labour administrators, professionals and consultants, political and religious leaders, traditional rulers, union leaders and others who find themselves in leadership or mentorship positions.

  3. Ms. Aisha Ado Abdullahi: Registrar
  4. Mr. Babatunde Oyefeso: Deputy Registrar
  5. Mr. Ifeanyi Obegolu: Vice President, Training
  6. Mrs. Ngozi Ogbolu: Vice President, Marketing & Membership Drive
  7. Dr. Adeola Adams: Vice President, Exams & Records
  8. Hon. Uchenna Cyril Anioke: Vice President, Communications & Strategy
  9. Amb. Victor A.A.A. Ojaide: Vice President, Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  10. Chief Magistrate Helen Umana: Vice President, Finance

This new team shall run the affairs of the ICMC for the next three (3) years. We wish them a successful and impactful tenure.
