NOMINATION PROCESS |
Please note: a nominee can only be nominated in a maximum of TWO categories. The awards are open to individuals, arbitral institutions, initiatives, and African States. Please refer to the categories and eligibility criteria for more details. The deadline for nominations is: 5pm GMT+2, Thursday 31st August 2023 Only entries via this nomination system will be considered. It is up to nominators to ensure contact details of those being nominated are correct. The organisers of the AfAA Awards reserve the right to: close a category should the quality of entrants be deemed insufficient; remove an entry if, in the opinion of the judges, the criteria have not been followed; or suggest another more appropriate category for a nominee. The Awards panel of judges will take into account nominator submissions, nominee submissions as well as third-party research, such as websites and social media. Nominations are to be accompanied by a detailed statement/profile explaining why the nominee is considered to meet or exceed the award's criteria accompanied by relevant supporting documentation, including articles, pictures, etc. Individual practitioners may self-sponsor their nominations provided that they meet the criteria for the award category. All nominations will be screened by the AfAA Awards Committee, and a shortlist of nominees forwarded to an independent expert panel of judges tasked with the ultimate responsibility of selecting Awardees. The final decision on the Awards presentation rests with the Awards' panel of judges. We look forward to your participation in the awards during the coming year and reading your submissions. |
