COVID-19 UPDATES

The AfAA has continued to pay close attention to the COVID-19 situation.  To ensure everyone’s health and safety, it has been decided to postpone the 2nd AfAA Annual International Arbitration Conference, originally scheduled for 3-5 June 2020, in Accra, Ghana.

Having taken steps to avoid conflicts with other rescheduled events, the AfAA has rescheduled the 2nd AfAA Conference to 14th – 16th April 2021. The AfAA Awards will be held on 16th April 2021 although the procedure for selection of the Awards Nominees will proceed as originally planned.  We will continue to monitor the situation and provide you with more updates leading up to the Conference.

16 MARCH 2020

As the COVID-19 situation develops, some governments are imposing 30-day travel restrictions and 14-day self-quarantine mandatory requirements but it is not yet clear how long the restrictions and requirements by Ghana will last. Accordingly, we are continuing to plan the 2nd AfAA Annual International Arbitration Conference while recognising that we may have to postpone it. We will continue to monitor the situation and as soon as we have a clearer picture, we will update you by email and post it here.

14 MARCH 2020

Our priority is to keep you and us safe and healthy so we will continue to monitor the situation and update you accordingly.
