The Nigeria Branch is one of the 41 Branches of the CIArb. The Institute approved the formation of the Branch in 1999 having fulfilled the requirements to be granted Branch status. Since then it has grown in its membership and has over 1,189 members. Its membership cuts across all disciplines including practitioners in Law, Construction, Shipping, Engineering, Insurance, Banking, Accounting, Oil & Gas etc.

The Nigeria Branch has in its fold, seasoned Arbitration Practitioners of international repute. In the exercise of its functions, it maintains close links with other professional arbitral bodies worldwide.

The Branch currently has three Chapters, Abuja Chapter, Port Harcourt Chapter and the Ibadan Chapter.
