Biography
Arabic, English and French. Experience Dr. Mohamed Aboul-Saoud has 25 years of experience in different legal fields with focus on international arbitration and dispute resolution. He has represented and advised clients in highly complex and cross borders conflicts. He has acted as counsel and co-counsel, but also as co-arbitrator, sole arbitrator and presiding arbitrator, in more than 50 arbitration cases covering a wide range of fields including telecommunications, construction, mega infrastructure projects and concessions, distribution, oil and gas, share purchase agreements, hospitality, and general commercial agreements. His clients are multinational and national entities on high profile and complex cases under the auspices of several arbitration institutions, mainly CRCICA and ICC, but also LCIA, DIFC-LCIA, and SIAC, in addition to Ad-Hoc (UNCITRAL Rules). Dr Aboul-Saoud is well versed in business law and corporate affairs with solid academic background as well as long practice within top-tier law firms. He has advised on general corporate matters including: compliance, governmental affairs, related party transactions and due diligence for SPAs and issuing of corporate bonds. He has advised on regulatory frameworks including: Telecommunication, Cyber Security Law and Personal Data Protection framework and the Law for Transportation Using Mobile Applications. Dr. Aboul-Saoud was invited by the Egyptian Parliament as expert to discuss the draft investment law No. 72/2107. He was invited by Ministry of Justice and Egyptian Franchise Association as expert to discuss the draft of Franchise Law. He was invited by the Egyptian Exchange (Stock Market) to participate in round table meetings to discuss the establishment of arbitration center and its suggested rules.
