    Cette #formation suivra le format des programmes de formation du PIDA de la CCI sur l'#arbitrage commercial international, qui visent à fournir aux participants une expérience pratique et une compréhension de la procédure d'arbitrage lors de sessions interactives. Les participants étudieront une procédure d'arbitrage à travers un cas pratique. Le cas pratique sera analysé au regard du règlement d’arbitrage de la #CCI.

    Course Description: It examines the principal laws, treaties and rules relevant to disputes in Africa and around the world.

    The Libyan Center for International Commercial Arbitration (LCICA) will hold its third arbitration conference in Libya, entitled “New mechanisms to support investment in Libya”, in cooperation with the Milan Chamber of Arbitration, on November 19, 2019, in Milan, Italy. This conference is the third in a series of conferences of LCICA, which is concerned with spreading the culture of arbitration in Libya and the Arab and African world, and the development of cooperation between African arbitration centers, and support scientific research in the field of alternative means of dispute resolution.

    The conference is expected to shed light on the ICC Arbitration Rules. The ICC Rules governing the drafting of the arbitration agreement, the conducting of arbitral proceedings and the issue of awards will be presented and discussed by the panellists. Speakers will include AfricArb co-founding members Diamana Diawara and Paul Jean Le Cannu, as well as various lawyers and representatives of the ICC and local institutions.

    The trend related to the multiplication of arbitrations centres in Africa and the role of such centres to promote arbitration practice on the continent in terms of specialization, harmonization and attractiveness are some of the topics that will also be tackled from the perspective of different players including practitioners (arbitrators and counsels), in-house counsel and academics.
